LGM has been engaged in construction engineering providing structural engineering services during the construction phase for a large variety of bridge projects.

 

The firm’s experience in Construction Engineering covers all aspects of this field, including engineering of temporary bridges and substructures, temporary excavation support systems, demolition of existing bridges, erection of new bridges of all types, design of specialized procedures and etc.   

 

The Firm has been working with various construction companies and private developers. Our clients include Koch, Skanska, Kiska, ECCO III, American Bridge, Granite North East, Perini, Jadlau, El Sol, Ahern, and many others.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE

 

GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE

 

 

Brooklyn Bridge, Rehabilitation of Approach Spans and Ramps Borough of Manhattan and Brooklyn,

NYCDOT, Contract No. BRC-270 C/P

 

LGM Consultants has provided miscellaneous engineering services during construction phase for Rehabilitation of Approach Spans and Ramps of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The scope of services included modifications and design of structural repairs, analysis and design of temporary shoring towers and temporary columns, structural lifting operations and jacking procedures, analysis of existing superstructures of Manhattan South and North Approach Spans during various stages of construction, design of repair procedures, preparation of Flag Repair shop drawings, field investigation and mitigation of unanticipated field conditions.

LGM provided miscellaneous structural engineering services, including design of various temporary support systems, lifting operations, demolition shield, working platform and etc.

 

Kew Gardens Interchange, Van Wyck Expressway between 86th Avenue and Grand Central Parkway, Queens County, New York

NYSDOT, Contract No.D261344

 

LGM Consultants provides miscellaneous structural engineering services during construction phase of Kew Gardens Interchange. The project scope consists of rehabilitation/complete replacement of seven (7) bridges between 86th Avenue and Grand Central Parkway. The Firm performed analysis and design of demolition and erection procedures, bridges load rating analysis for construction loadings, various temporary structures, temporary excavation support systems

Robert Moses Causeway Bridge over Fire Island Inlet, Spot Bridge Repairs

NYSDOT, Contract D261542

 

LGM provided miscellaneous structural engineering services during construction phase of Spot Repairs for Robert Moses Causeway Bridge. The project scope included load rating analysis of the existing bridge for various types of construction equipment, analysis and design of the temporary support system required for removal and installation of the existing wind tongue, analysis and design of structural lifting operations for bearing replacement and other miscellaneous tasks.

 

ROBERT MOSES BRIDGE

 

Newburgh-Beacon Bridge South Span Deck Replacement

New York State Bridge Authority, New York

 

LGM Consultants provides structural engineering services during construction phase of the project. The scope of services includes load rating analysis of the existing bridge superstructure, design of temporary deck panels, design of deck removal procedures, design of grid deck panel erection, analysis and design of various structural elements.

NEWBURGH-BEACON BRIDGE

 

 

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Bayonne Bridge, Arch Protection at Roadway,

Contract No. MF-100.507

 

LGM Consultants was responsible for engineering services during construction of special retrofit for the existing main arches. The project scope included design of a special working platform/shield, erection procedures to construct new arch protection, load rating analysis of the existing roadway superstructure for construction equipment loads, and other miscellaneous tasks

 

BAYONNE BRIDGE

 

 

Rehabilitation of the Glen Island Bascule Bridge, New Rochelle, NY

Westchester County Department of Public Works

 

LGM Consultants participated in the rehabilitation of the Bascule Bridge at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, NY. The scope of services included field inspection and measurements, design of protective shield and working platforms, drift tests and bascule span balance calculations. 

GLENN ISLAND BRIDGE

 

YONKERS PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

 

Emergency Repairs of 140-ft long Pedestrian Bridge at Sadore Lane,

The City of Yonkers, NY

 

LGM Consultants performed structural inspection and design services for emergency repairs of the existing 140-ft long pedestrian bridge severely damaged by a vehicular impact. Responsibilities included condition inspection and evaluation, structural lifting operations, design of a temporary system for the bridge lateral movement, and steel heat straightening procedures.

 

 

Rehabilitation of Elevated Structure & 5 Stations, Jamaica Line, Brooklyn, NY

New York City Transit Authority, Contract No. C-332333

 

LGM Consultants provided structural engineering services during construction phase for Rehabilitation of Jamaica Line Elevated Structures. The scope of services included field investigation, design of demolition shield and working platforms, temporary shoring and structural lifting operations for truck girder repairs, temporary shoring of existing columns, truck jacking procedures and etc.
